A Little Taste of Freedom

15.12.20 -22.12.20: The long awaited day has come when we can start mixing in groups of 6 and travel freely for any reason without a document. The next day, Jacques ever ready to open his doors to friends, brough his near neighbours together. Wild boar either roasted or casserolled  was on the menu. How good it is to have a semblance of life as it used to be. And the day after there was a trip to a quiet Perpignan with Françoise. The downside, (isn't there always one), is that there's an 8pm curfew and cafés, bars and restaurants still closed. Otherwise, the days passed much as they did when we were more constrained. There's nothing happening to go out for and I have to say it won't be long before I'll be awarded 1st class honours for procrastination! Motivation is hard to come by unless Francoise gets me out for a walk. And it's far too easy to reach for those bars of chocolate filling the cupboard and pick up either the remote control or the mouse.

Weather: 12° - 17°, mostly sunny
