Joyeux Noël!

With nothing on the cards until this afternoon, we sat around until midday before getting dressed and settling down to some foie gras and champagne. Lunch was a nice, juicy capon and believe it or not, a carafe of water rather than wine.
After Christian had woken from his siesta we went over to André and Nany's for tea. As some of the family were there we didn't linger too long. Spent the evening in front of the telly, finished off the last of the champagne and ate cold, for turkey read, capon sandwiches as tradition demands. So ended a very low key Christmas day.
Weather:
16°, blue skies and sunshine
Headlines:
The Mairie of Angoulème  heavily criticised for caging off the benches infront of a shopping mall on Christmas eve to stop people from taking them over as their meeting/drinking/dealing place .
