We all made a pretty slow start though in fairness, we were up and about before the others. They went off to the market while we went to watch José (one of Christian's colleagues) and Violette get married - in the Mairie, of course. The ceremony was followed by a "vin d'honneur", nibbles and chat. After that we were in the mood for lunch so went with the others to the bar for the menu du jour.
In the afternoon Pierre and Marie-Christine left for home and I took Jean-Louis and Aimée for a wlk around the village and then across the border for some booze shopping. The evening we spent quietly at home.
So, in two days we've had a funeral, a wedding and a birthday. All of life is here!
