The weather was pretty miserable and the thought of going up into the mountains for Christian's surgery in the evening with no restaurant at the end as they're closed for holidays, was not very appealing. Still, duty calls and while Christian and Michel waited in vain for "clients", I went up to see Annette. She lives at about 800m and her place was shrouded in cloud which made the drive up pretty stressful. Drops on one side, rocks on the other and visibility down to 10m. Of course we survived.
Welcome to all of you out there who might be interested to know about life chez nous. Hopefully, some of you will have happy memories of the house and the village and for those of our friends who have not yet made it over here, perhaps this blog will show them what they are missing! Click on the photos to enlarge them and please feel free to comment. A first name would be great so we're not left wondering who "anonymous" is! À bientôt et bonne navigation!
