In the afternoon, much to my surprise, I was invited to Irma's 87th birthday tea at the old folks' club. Another sign of acceptance which really pleased me. More galettes to eat with the large slice I ended up with being helped down by a wee glass of fizz.
A meeting about the carnaval and Spanish homework in the evening took me to bedtime and the great tome "When Christ and his Saints Slept", a historical novel set in 12th century England. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43841.When_Christ_and_His_Saints_Slept One heck of a lot of reading.
